Music, Ricardians & Cake

It was my kind of event: great live music, an audience of Richard III enthusiasts, and a truly delicious cake!

In February the Bucks/Beds branch of the Richard III Society invited folk/rock combo The Legendary Ten Seconds to play some of their songs inspired by Richard III. And since the band’s front man Ian Churchward has written a song inspired by Francis Cranley, chief protagonist from The Woodville Connection and The Beaulieu Vanishing, I was asked to come along, too, to hear the song performed in front of an audience for the first time.

Afterwards, while everyone tucked into tea and a magnificent cake, I signed books and chatted to Society members.

Huge thanks to Jeanette Melbourne of the Richard III Society for her warm welcome to this enjoyable event and to The Legendary Ten Seconds for inviting me in the first place. With the Legendary Ten Seconds low res
